Wenceslas Square – Beginning life as a horse market in medieval times, the rectangular shaped Wenceslas 'Square' is actually a broad, half-mile long boulevard, dominated by Josef Schulz's neo-Renaissance National Museum

Prague castle served as mansion of Czech kings and now it is the seat of President. Its history starts in the 9th century when Prince Borivoj founded a fortified settlement here.

Charles Bridge was built in 1357 to replace an earlier Romanesque bridge from the second half of the 12th century and known as Judith Bridge after a Bohemian queen.

Theatres & Culture:

Prague State Opera has one of Europe´s most exquisite theatre interiors. It offers daily production of masterpieces of the world opera literature in the original language versions.

The historical building of the National Theatre in Prague is the embodiment of the will of the Czech nation for national independence and today offers large selection of opera, ballet and drama.

Laterna magika is an internationally comprehensible theatre without words. Its secret consists in an original combination of filmed and stage action.

Try as you might, you´ll probably not escape the Czech Republic without a piece of glassware, so you´ll at least be able to impress your friends with a bit of history. The term Behomian Glass has come to refer to the type of glass developed in this country in the late 16th century.Today the term tends to mean glass overlaid with colour, usually red, through which a design is cut or etched.
